SURVEILLANCE SHIFT MANAGER

Description of Duties:

  • Ensures all equipment is operational on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Capacity to act in a rile of Assistant Surveillance Director
  • Minimize business risk by ensuring compliance with local legislation, internal policies and procedures (MIC's)
  • Development and performance management of the surveillance team and line staff through workplace assessments appraisal system
  • Create a "performance management" environment through the implementation of appopriate company practices and processes
  • Develop and facilitate training programs - induction, refresher and external courses
  • Ensure an effective succession plan is in place by developing and training of direct reports and line staff
  • Recruitment of staff - sourcing, interviewing and testing line staff
  • Provide direction, resources, guidance and coaching to management team
  • Review and follow-up and perform all day-to-day operation matters and written reports
  • Provide timely and accurate reports in the form of written and verbal content detailing
  • Acts as a liaison with internal departments as well as external state agencies such as the West Virginia Lottery and Local Law Enforcement
  • Effectively supervise surveillance operators

Work Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2-3 years of surveillance experience in Table Games and Class Three Gaming
  • Experience in negotiation and problem solving, decisive and confident in the ability to handle difficult situations and resolve problems and conflicts
  • Excellent knowledge of game security and casino industry surveillance
  • Stong gaming and surveillance background
  • Familiar with the use of technology within the work environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge
  • Typing ability
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate reports
  • Good eye-to-hand coordination
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing ability required allowing monitoring of multiple radio broadcasts with or without utilizing headsets
  • Must have strong team work abilities and be able to lead by example
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays
